My Nurburgring 24Hr experience

Post by Maxx »

Well, a bit late I know but I hadn't realised until recently, that my sponsor (CG-Lock) had posted this.

It's an article I did about my experiences in this years Nurburgring 24Hr race. I did post on here at the time so most of you will know that it wasn't exactly what we'd hoped for.

That must have been a wonderful, rich experience. Another great write up. I've read about the event many times before and they all manage to conjur up images of the inky blackness beyond the lights of the F1 track. The circuit scares me into driving well within myself in the daylight........what on Earth must it be like in race mode in the pitch black of night?!

Glad to hear that your colleague in the Rex was OK. The car didn't actually look that bad considering where he went off and the speed at that point. I should imagine that if his memory returns he'll also count his blessings.

Why don't you see if someone can try and get some sponsorship from Turbo Dynamics. At least you may stand a chance of getting through the event without multiple failures then :)
