used to race there at least once a month, the track itself is very open and fast, not much breaking needed at all. Smooth lines carring the most speed thru the corners as you can works the best when it rains the track is slippery as hell. Be more aggressive in the rain using the power to help you powerslide round the corners otherwise you will end up like most people do in the wet and just understear off the track.

If its a load of workmates it will be a laugh, most people try and win the event from the start, sometimes its wise to hang back a little and let the guys up front take each other out. The start of the race into the 1st corner usually results in someone collecting another kart. Best to take a wide line into this corner from the start.

Most of all have fun its always good laugh.

Have driven Ellough park a number of times, it's an excellent track. :-D

I found that the centre section was probably the most important, if you can get a good line through turns 2 & 3 ( try it a 1 big bend) you can carry impressive speed into turn 4, but the exit is somewhat bumpy

I understand that they have recently extended the track from turn 6 or 7 onwards so it should now be even better.

Have fun

funny eniugh i was there last weekend, had a graet time, unfortunantly i wasnt as competative as i would have liked to have been due to having a extra few pounds than everyone else

but would agree the centre of the course is the trickiest. and they have extended it as there is a hairpin in there now.

I've been there a couple of times with work - the team endurance events are great fun if enough people go :)

Cheers,
Alex

like you rob, dave isnt fat he has big bones!!!

what a great afternoon it was though once you get the tyres warmed up you can really chuck it into the corners and carry some good speed. i won the 3rd heat but after a big crash into the tyrewall on lap 2 of the grand prix that ruined my chances of getting any reward for the previous efforts :x :x :x to make it worse my bro won overall, but at least our lap times were within 0.5sec of each other so i would have had the pace to be a front runner!

any chance of a bigpower race in the future??

In a pro kart you need to keep the momentum up.

I have some warm up vids of the circuit on my laptop.

my best lap is a 42.5 in a rotax
