Ok this will be my first trackday for me and my car,ive heard that you need a realy fast car for snetterton as there are long straights,i dont think i will be that fast down the straights,i know i have to pull over to the right for faster cars to pass, and no overtaking on bends,can i pull into the pits at anytime to have a quick checkover ect?
also is there any areas to be extra carefull? dont fancy hitting a tyre wall or anything :lol:

20 min sessions

You can come in and out of the pits at any time during your 20 min slot AL.

Not a lot to hit and power wont be essential to enjoy it around there.

There will be plenty of us more experienced with Snetterton that you can follow round or grab a passenger lap or two in a previous session if you can.

there you go !! watch out for brake fade and give yourself a lap (slow of the brakes whare poss) to let them cool down. have a great day

The one piece of advice I'd give is keep your right side wheels hooked over the white line at Coram longer than you think you need to first time out. It is common to run out of room on the exit there with potentially nasty results as it is a fast corner.

Stay off the whitlines it rains! Don't go out like a bull in a china shop, take it nice and easy and gradually build up your lap times and confidence.
The most important thing to remember is to ENJOY EVERY MINUTE YOU ARE ON TRACK.

I remember a superstox driver who said that gloves were for wimps. Over in Belguim he got sideways coming out of a corner and a following car came over his bonnet, took off the carb and ruptured the fuel line. The exhaust heat ignited the petrol and the car went up in smoke. The only places he got badly burned where his hands. Didn't see much of him after that.

That's a usefull comment. I never wear gloves. I thought they were just for serious driving and if you were prone to sweaty palms, which I tend not to be, not whilst driving anyway Just ordered some boots so I suppose I ought to go the whole hog and get gloves too. I see there's a nice line in soft leather with holes in the backs 8)
