due to the extreme impracticality of the mighty shed, i bought myself a new company car lastnight.

i present to you the MIGHTY FROG - Peugeot 306 TDiesel. 1.9 litres of rapeseed chugging power. kicking out a mighty 92bhp and 145lb.ft (so thats only 208bhp and 170lb.ft less than the shed...), it has the wheels chirping in 2nd gear and has more than enough grunt to pull the skin off a rice pudding.

civic owners, watch out! im coming for you :)

as standard it runs around 1bar of boost, this is easily tweaked to around 1.2bar although if i want to run more i will have to relocate the existing intercooler to the front. that isnt going to happen tho as i need this car to be ultra reliable. as part of my job i am often away from home for weeks at a time, commuting between sites etc. hopefully ill be able to sell it for as much as i bought it for next year and get a cushy diesel 3 series BMW.

[apologies for posting up about a diesel car btw!]

I had one of these as a hire car about 10 year back, and I must say - I really liked it.

Not too bad of a choice

Back in the day (circa '96) a mate of mine was master tech at the local Pug dealership. He had one of these (boosted) and he talked me into buying the 1.6 petrol 16 valve. I should have bought the diesel. Good choice Mr McMcMcacacac :thumb:

just logging back on to touch base....ive done about 2000miles in the car and it hasnt missed a beat, aside from the passenger window not going down for days on end (then somehow fixed by itself!) and the car refusing to start if i park it overnight facing uphill

but for a french car, these things are to be expected.

i love it :D
