Currently I run XP Pro,

And fortunately I only need my laptop to work 4 days out of 7. Should I change to Vista or will this start to impinge on the times when I actually need to use a computer rather than an abacus ???

Any advice, and any problems experienced with any MS products would be good as Im a bit of a novice where this is concerned.

Cheers :D

I've just bought a Dell with Vista. :(

It should be called 'Hasta La Vista' as you have to say goodbye to everything you did have working on XP.

It looks pretty but that's about it.

Keep XP and buy a bunch of flowers instead. :D

yep same here, bought a new desktop for the office which was so slow even to start up that it was returned to the shop very quickly and exchanged (after a few pleasantries) for a faster less expensive XP machine.......................
