Found a Jap car i really like

sold me ITR as tbh it was to boring and then went out and had a drive of my mates R33 GTR which although being very nice just didnt excite me that much. Theres not many Jap cars that take my fancy anymore execpt the RX7 which has allways interested me.
Well what can i say, asked my mate if he would take me out in his RX7 Type R, and he said come on lets go as he had just got back in.
We just went a few miles outside of camp instead of using the airfield as it's usless as you cant judge speed as its so open.
First thing is as i get in the passenger seat all the way back my knees still touch the dash board. Theres no chance i could drive it well not comfortably without solidly mounting the seat to the floor and as far back as it would go
The next thing you notice is the noise with popping and banging on over run The ride is firm but not to hard even for our roads using RE01 tyres.
Tosh guns it down the first straight which is a little bumpy but is still nice and planted. Power delivery is stupidly smooth but with plenty of kick, it just wants to keep pulling aswell.
As for cornering we Tosh didnt push it to much as you cant see over the hedges at whats coming, you can tell its a very good chassis even in standard form. One the way back we could see around one of the second gear bends so Tosh had a play. The car steps out in such a way thats very smooth and not to difficult to control either.
Managed to open it up on the straight back into camp and the arse dyno recons about 350bhp Tosh plans to do a few mods to it and is hoping to see around the 400bhp mark
I was very impressed and if i was to even go back to a jap car an RX7 is now top of my list, even if i have to adjust the seating position a little.
Sorry if its a little bit of a boring read for some of you but just thought it would be nice to share the experience.
P.S. Whats ecu do most RX7 owners change to when they are going for more power? Oh and you are a lucky bunch.
