'I am just going outside and may be some time.'*

Although in my particular case, its not for the icy wasteland that is the South Pole. Instead, I'm going to the sunny surfers paradise that is Cornwall for 6 weeks working on an IT contract.
This is the first time I've worked away from home for a considerable length of time so I am looking forward to it like an excited teenager (which isn't far from the truth!). I think this is a good time to post up a few pictures of where I'm going
I will be staying here: hotel is 3rd building from the extreme left

RIGHT on the beach, woot!
If I feel brave I shall swim out here.

The job itself isn't that exciting, just a fairly standard server support role. this specific job is perfect for me however because:
1. It involves travel to nice places.
2. There is a new technology for me to learn (Citrix).
3. The contract finishes a week before my Nurburgring trip.
(with a very real opportunity to resume when I return)
The only thing I'm not looking forward to is the 400 mile journey on Monday in the mighty shed! I have detuned it slightly and fixed the oil leaks so I have no fear about breaking down, although I do have roadside recovery.
* Unlike Captain Oates, I hope to survive
