Saw him post his 8.800 at the Pod last eyar and no-one could touch him then. Unless his car breaks, he will romp away with the HKS drag series with times like that...

Big well done to Tim and the duke (presuming it was the duke car).

Must admit to being a keith cowie fan though in the chase for the fastest uk skyline 8)

The bar has been raised again!

I'll post my congratulations somewhere where he is likely to read it but with him and Mr Cowie, Mr Norris, Mr Barnes and a good few others all hunting for supremacy this year, we spectators should be in for a treat.

Stuart you forgot to mention max1!!
Hopefully he will be up there. Would love to see him and the home grown car beat a car which has just been bought from japan and raced over here.

Steady!!
Two things there Ian. With the greatest respect to Mark the guys I mentioned should all be in the eights this year, I would imagine Mark will be in the nines which is an amzing acheivement by any standards let alone a privateer. I am sure Mark would be amongst to say that a second difference at that level is a big difference though.
The other thing is that if you said to Simon Norris, Keith Cowie or Andy Barnes that their cars had been bought in and run as they are, there is a very good chance we would be have to piece you back together afterwards :D Ok there may be sections of the cars that owe a lot to Japanese suppliers or companies but the fabled 'arrive and drive cars' have failed to just turn up and be competitive so far.

After all, how long did it take Tim, GTC and Duke to get a really decent time last year?

Did not mean to be so hastly with the words there! I meant the duke car when i was refering to cars built in japan and brought over. There is no way i would ever say that about Keiths car etc.

I know Duke did some development work over here but the large majority of the car was built in Japan.
