name your favourite film that has a strong car theme ( eg bullitt/ gone in 60 seconds )
and the one that makes you cringe ( tyre screeching on dirt etc or 6 million gearchanges )
best.... smokey and the bandit
worst... F&F ( any of them )

Best
Steve McQueens 'Le Mans'
Worst
District 13
Most cringeworthy
The new Casino Royale~ why oh why did they have to smash that Aston up so soon when the Mondeo got away with it??
I happen to think that, taken in the correct light, the Fast and Furious films are great fun and have a lot of positive aspects.

The original Gone-in-60-seconds
Gone in 60 Seconds is a 1974 film written, directed, and produced by and starring H.B 'Toby' Halicki. It centers on a group of car thieves and the 48 cars they must steal in a matter of days. The film is famous for having wrecked and destroyed 93 cars in a 40 minute car chase scene.

On August 20, 1989, Toby began to shoot Gone In 60 Seconds 2 in which both he and Denice would be the stars, in Buffalo, New York. Toby was preparing for the most dramatic stunt sequence in the film when a 160 foot-tall water tower suddenly toppled. A cable attached to the tower snapped, whipped around, and sheared off a telephone pole, which fell on him.
