Didnt know they had a big spec for a welding hat.

lol thats completely overkill :)
i have an autodarkening helmet - theyre fantastic. mine isnt as posh as yours as its just got a single dial on the side for sensitity. they are a godsend tho, however i find i have to clean mine every few minutes welding because the screen gets all coked up with mig fumes.

tig welding is nice tho, but i spend 20 minutes replacing the lenses and giving i a good clean beforehand.

is that helmet always partially shaded or is it very light until it activates?

it can be partially shadded or very light :-D

it does just about everthing except the welding :-D

im not so much a virgin im use to oval raceing and bashing into people to get them out of my way i will just have to be more patiant out there and not ram people out the way :lol:

When you come to put your other seat in give me a shout ill lend you that screen you will see any flames then :wink: :P

with that bit burnt off it saves a bit more weight too ;)
