I realise this is going to be a bit biased,

But inspired by Bens Veyron comments in the other thread, I thought I would ask what people would do to thier car if they had a

Bladey, yes I would imagine pretty much the ultimate Skyline.

My requirement would be alot simplier I think. I enjoy shiny things as much as I enjoy go.

For me I would have my current car stripped down completely - Shell fully prepared and repainted it's orginal colour. I would replace every component with shiny new parts (uprated of course). Have every under car part painted i.e fuel cell etc.

Interior would be redone completely in leather, all interior trim panels would have the horrid vinyl removed and replaced with leather. Seats in black with a nice contrasting finish on the lumbar area's. New carpets and mats. Alicantra dash retrim. Now this is where it sounds sad - but I like the dash and the dials - so the most I would do with the interior is add white nismo dials.

Exterior - apart from full respray - would remain the same - I like the lines, the body kit and even the mirrors. Wheels would be a brand new set of LE37T's (as fitted today).

Performance wise - I would want an RB30 with lots of shiny upgraded parts. As to the actual parts - that I can't answer just bigger and better.

So what i'm really saying is - I love my car looking like it does today - apart from maybe more power and a roll cage. You can't improve on perfection :).

So with the remaining 200K - I'd build a heated garage to keep it in and a second R32 Track slag to thrash around in :)

I'd trade the commuter supra in for a twin turbo supra and prep it just for 1/4 miles with an aim to get a sub ten second time. Big single turbo conversion, strip it, huge fat tyres on the back, NOS etc... I'd then prep the scoob for track days and have a go at time attack (nextyear.. ;))

Would then need a 200sx for drifting and I'd haver a full set :)

Oh yes... just no daily commuter then though!

I would do a 240Z, been thinking about getting one for years...

Restore it and go for full steel wide arches. Multi point cage with the whole rear suspension/beam replaced with a GTR setup with a nice diff. SR22 (bored and stroked - all HKS will do) up front mounted way back in the engine bay (behind the front struts). Custom twin-scroll GT30R turbo setup pushing around 500hp, Ikeya Formula throttle bodies, custom roller-rocker setup with custom cams. PPG 6 speed gearbox. Custom suspension and a nice big set of Brembo brakes.

A lovely read James. Mine would be somewhat different, but hopefully no less dynamic.

I would buy a Hakosuka Skyline, plain and simple. I would get the shell acid dipped, fully seam welded, a nice cage fabricated and then the least subtle RB30 built by Gary with two GT-SS's gently blowing away....I would go for the biggest brakes I could squeeze behind the three piece Volks rims, so probably get Dan at Performance Friction to build me a custom set of brakes. I would happily use the Tein set up I currently enjoy. I would aim for around 1100kgs weight and no less than 400 at the wheels, but nice and early thank you please.

I'm sure that would leave me a few quid to which I would take a select bunch of mates on trackdays with me, all expenses paid, with me :D The best way to enjoy myself is with friends on a track and an unlimited amount of VPower :thumb:

Well thought out James......got abit dribbly reading that :D

I would obviously give my old Datsun the full bifta  ..........

But I would buy another Shaguar XJS V12 :-D one of the british built ones. When a suitable one is found it would be off for a British racing green paint job and then the fun would begin.

It would be off to have chassis and handling work carried out by Walkinshaw and Lotus respectively to bring it into the year 2007 :-D . The engine, the 6.0 ltr V12, would be built and tuned by an F1 engineer and remain NA and coupled to a 6 speed box by Quaife or OSG 8)
