Are we 'lucky'......?

Having been listening to the news alot in recent yrs/mths I have come to a conclusion. Its in no way based on fact just my numble opinion :-D

I think that our generation will be the last one to be 'free'. What I mean by free is things like getting up early and going for a drive around the country in a car that does sub 10mpg's. I think in the very near future (20 or 30 yrs) our society will have huge sanctions placed on us, on account of the natural resources being caned and the global climate.

So with that in mind I'll do my bit for the environment and get the GTR out of the garage in the morning and drive into town ignoring all forms of social control ,because I'm a 'free' man, and drive at full boost getting around 5 mpg and throwing the waste product out of the dustbin size exhaust thus converting all the unburnt fuel into big toxic flames.................and buy an energy saving lightbulb :thumb:

Only thing I worry about is, will we be getting flooded out of East Anglia in a couple of decades or so?!! "They" predict it will happen and show us where it will happen so how is that going to work out for house prices and insurance in years to come when this actually becomes an issue??

When the councils and the government departments convert all their vehicles to LPG or electric power...then they can start talking about the vehicles we drive.
My local council collects the refuage from my road (13 houses) on a Thursday. Then on a Friday they collect it from the two roads the cross mine.
Good use of fuel that.

We're lucky in a lot of ways to have experienced the petrol driven heavy horse power era through its hayday before the environment nazis really get to work.

I wonder where bio ethanol will take us though

tbh,

hydrogen car technology is amazing.

lpg has a higher octane rating than most petrols anyway.

so i think its not that bad.

its the political correctness and big brother syndrome that scares me.

hopefully i will be living in new zealand, naked in my mud hut by then!!

i know someone in the oil industry and there is still 100's of years of oil under africa. just costs a lot to dig.

Anyway boys, my hoover car will have more gravitational pull than yours - Dan very deep but very true - we'll be visiting museums in 30 years time just to peak at the infernal combustion engine.

what you should be worrying about is the fact the earth is slowing down.

this will increase earth gravitational pull and make everything heavier.

but i think the sun's expansion and inevitable collapse and implosion resulting in a black hole sucking all life and light into it for eternity is gonna happen sooner.
