Just finished installing the car lift in my garage :-)

After buying the damn thing roughly a year ago I finaly got my sh1t togethrt and fixet it to the floor, changed the motor to a single phase, built a starter to reverse the motor and this morning lifted the car up and down :-)

Wished the garage roof was higher but hey this is luxury compared to groping around on the floor, next thing is to get the gearbox of and replace the synchro on 5th and put the new RPS Clutch and ally flywheel, then fit the Pitroad Strutbraces .....

That should take me a while if the ramp installation is anything to go by....oh...and theres the earthing kit and the Goodridge brake lines...and new wheel bearings...

Just sitting here with a cup of tea admiring my work :-)

Let me give it a lick of paint first  It's not pretty, but works well, bought it off eBay some time ago, Martyn (Turbomart) gave me a hand to collect it, he can navigate the whole of the UK using McDonalds as reference points you know

JC, Any chance of further information on the single phase conversion? Cost and work involved?

I would love a 2 poster in my next house, and have been noticing the number of 3phase lifts available

Catch me at the February meet, basically it was the motor, got that from machine mart and I scrounged the other stuff, made the reversing starter myself, bit of machining required on the pulley, welding up some brackets...
