An oversight on Lewis' part maybe? Then again it's not as if he hasn't had plenty of practice with regards to correct podium etiquette. Either way there's no excuse and an apology should be made by him, I mean come on, even James Hunt back in the day used to remember to put his fag down when the national anthem was playing....and that was with a hangover!

So as the season comes to it's final race with double points up for grabs...
interesting to see how things pan out......
I would not be surprised if Hamilton ends up with technical issues and Rosberg on pole....
lets face it Mercedes wouldn't be too disappointed to have a german in a german car as world champion now would they ?
Then next year they can boast they are constructors world champions and have a two world champions in the team.
For all of his faults Hamilton has had more success this year and is a true racer and in my opinion this year I feel he deserves to be champion.
If they line up P1 & P2 for the race if I was him I would be looking at the Senna and Prost finale's and consider a professional foul on Rosberg......
and say its payback for Spa.....

There is no favouritism towards Rosberg, he got an absolute bollocking after Spa, I'd say they've been one of the fairest teams in years, and good on em.

It'll be gutting if the double points effects the outcome, especially as they're set to ditch it for next year.

Looking forward to it.

I'm a bit torn between the two if I'm honest, up until recently I've been routing for Lewis all the way however Rosberg seems to have quietly up'd his game. By contrast Lewis seems to be bleating a bit too often over the radio to his engineers, about vibration this or vibration that (and usually just after he's made a mistake resulting in a lock up/flat spot/spin/or had a dink or close encounter with someone or something thereby requiring a rapid rebuild of his car) and all this moaning whilst posting increasingly faster sector and lap times?!?.

It seems very childish in many ways, almost as if he's trying to emphasise that he's the quickest driver on track even with a car that's not 100%. I'll be happy with whoever wins the championship though as you say as long as double points isn't the deciding factor.

The whole double points thing was a crap idea and thank God it's been binned for next year.

To be fair though, we only get to hear the radio calls that F1 Management decide to broadcast-and they all sound like whining gits- remember Alonso and Vettel's "track limits" bitching at Silverstone?

There's going to be uproar if the championship is decided upon a reliability issue and the crappy double points rule. Abu Dhabi suits Hamilton- he's lead there many times before suffering car failures. Rosberg may have taken more Poles this year, but he's not really driven like a potential Champion- too many errors under pressure and weak defensive moves.

Ricciardo has been a revelation this year- dragging the RedBull further up the field than it should be in a way that only Alonso or Hamilton usually can.
Finishing off the Ford ;)

Agree about Ricciardo, he's not done much for Vettels reputation, if Kimi trounces him next year, I'd say Vettel is about done.

Well the fun starts for the finale.....Hamilton shows Rosberg the way in free practice. .....
there is a brilliant clip on YouTube Jenson Buttons expression when Rosberg has a dig at Hamiltons driving and keeping it clean.
sorry can't link it from phone but its funny.
