i wonder why the shop owner felt like saying :

***snip***
My builder lives locally so he was able to make it look tidy so we could open at normal time, 6am
***snip***

nice little plug so that everyone knows that despite gibs-a-go-go, people can still buy their morning paper as usual

*sighs*

5 years - I would like to have seen him get more - but still some justice is served. Great news.

He'll serve the first year of that sentence in a YOI, playing on his games console and learning to read/write properly, smoking fags, working out at the gym. Then he'll serve another 18-24 months in a grown up prison or two before being allowed out.

Not quite as harsh as I would have liked, but a halfway decent sentence.
