It seemed to me like this was a genuine dispute and you were in the right. Why have eBay said no refund??
Buggers cancelled my op just a couple of days before it was due. Inconsiderate barstewards!! :rant:

The case was somehow closed just after i put in my complaint. According to ebay once a case is closed they presume everything is ok between the buyer and seller. Because the case was closed ebay do not provide refunds and it is up to the buyer to sort out any dispute afterwards with the seller. I,ve got no chance with the seller as he said he refunded me the money through ebay (i haven,t seen any proof).

i belive you can go straight through paypal and get money back without using ebay.
also ask ebay who closed the dispute as when its closed you get a message/email to conferm its been closed
