Man this sounds like a nightmare Rob.
When mine came up for renewal in August it was more expensive to insure the fabia than the integra, i couldn't beleive it. Searched around a lot, didn't find keith michaels helpful either. Ended up with Chaucer, via some research with brokers and got a blinding price.
Keep trying bud... Insurance is the worst thing to shop for!!

Firstly if there customer service is that bad I personally wouldn't give them any more chances (the state of customer service these days is one of my pet hates) It shouldn't matter what number you call someone on, you are a potential customer which happen to pay their wages. First impressions count don't they?........say no more
They were expensive when I had a quote from them for my Subaru, and I don't have any mods!!! they didn't believe me when I told them what I was paying at Direct Line.
Year on Year my premium has dropped and you also get discount for other vehicles insured with them, I have my van with them too, also very competitive.
Good Luck.
