Which driver training course?????
Comming at this from a different angle, I did a lot of Caterham Days where you share a car with 1 or 2 other participants but get the use of the car and fuel etc but most importantly an ARDS Instructor all the time you are in the car or during breaks. The day is tailored to your own ability and builds on your knowledge and confidence as the day progresses. You are pushed to drive as hard as you can but I never felt I was being pushed beyond my own capeability at any point
The Instructors spend a great deal of time and effort explaing the dynamics of breaking steering and use of throttle to balance the car. for example use of power into a down-hill breaking zone, scared me but we actualy got round the hairpin unscathed.
The training worked for me but this has been supported by taking the lessons learned out on track and continuing to develop my own driving (or lack of it) ability, I think that building on what has been learned through constructive track gays is critical as is not worrying about what others think id you are not burning rubber at every corner
