Yet another decent thread smeared with the excrement that is James' humour. I remember the good old days when you walked the walk and backed up that big crater you call a mouth mate :smt060

If you need something shooting, or a payload to low earth orbit. Just ask.

It's a bit superfluous for anything other than fast road or proper track driving. It requires plenty of practice (see above) but it is one of those things that is rewarding to do well.

Have a look on Youtube for a Walter Rohrl video (type in Heel Toe Rohrl). If it's the right clip you can see how a real expert does it.

Also see here

and here

Just please make sure you practice on an airfield or isolated road at low speeds before you press on.

Hope this helps

You could practice it stationery.

Just have the engine idling, handbrake on. Right foot on the brake and blip the throttle at the same time.

It's more the side of the foot. Stay on the brake whilst rolling onto the throttle pedal rather than using the actual heel of the foot.
Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or hump it, piss on it and walk away!

Ah right, thanks for that guys :thumb: after reading it and watching the videos it really does make sence for performance driving. I might have a go at it, but as you say Stuart, it'll be have to be on an airfield or an open space.

Learn something everyday :)
