Really sorry to hear that Ian,
Isnt christmas time wonderful....not !!!
Unhappy.
ian and paul, i feel both your pain!
i broke up with my gf of 5 years (well, she broke up with me really
) which resulted in me losing my home, job and moving back to suffolk. i went back to the house a week after the breakup to pick up some of my possessions and found some things there which proved she had been cheating on me (although she said to the contrary when we split up), so i kicked in the bedroom furniture and stole the awesome JVC stereo i bought her for her birthday
. i nearly took a breaker bar to his car parked in MY driveway, but i had calmed down a bit.
i found a job up here after 6 weeks, but was then laid off in september this year. this is where i got really pissed off and started up my own company.
moral: breaking up is hard, really REALLY hard. the only thing to compare it to is the sudden death of a loved one. it really is just like bereavement.
I took the easy option and buggered right off. my head was a mess so i went on a driving holiday back to lancashire to see all my old friends, stock up on the good times and shag some birds! this probably isnt cheering you up but the best thing to do is rely on your friends to cheer you up, dont hit the bottle too hard (alcohol is a depressant) and stay active, if only to keep your mind off her and that bastard
chin up, both of you

Sorry to here this Ian, not good at all, and wish I'd read this post earlier as I just spent 3 days just outside Swaffham doing motors and would have been more than happy to ask for help, if I get anything that way I'll give you a shout.
Paul, I feel for you big time, and know exactly how you feel... thats how my first marriage ended, but we weren't split up, just cam ehome early and caught her :x
Ben, so sorry to hear about your granfather, i hope things improve for him and wish you and your family all the best in your time of need.
