I think the point is Terry, that Bladerider competes in the D1 proper and therefore probably knows more about drift set ups than most of us. Aesthetics will always be a matter of taste, but you cannot argue with a decent spec list :thumb:
Only my two penneth of course.

Sorry,
You are corect that its not my cup of tea, my apologies if this sounds like Im "having a dig" its just that we (the drift community) tend to get very bored of people wanting the "drift look" and then saying they "are drifters" without either having a car that is capable, an idea of what is required or even having been to a practice or competition day.
I guess all of us (drift enthusiasts) have the following "to do" list...
Buy car
Practice
fit decent seat and harnesses
practice
Fit coilovers
Practice
Get a diff
Practice
Uprate some more footwork - arb's, rods, links, etc
practice
more power
practice
fit more footwork - camber arms, solid bushing etc
practice
change the brakes, fit hydraulic if required
practice
maybe fit bodykit for more track/more lock
practice
more power, finish car mechanically, maybe fit a cage
by this time you should be competing
practice
compete
practice
compete
fix dents and bodywork
make car look pretty

LOL,
Tyre sponsorship is the Holy Grail for drift drivers.
I am a very very lucky boy to have full Yokohama sponsorship. I cane 3 or 4 pairs of tyres a day at events !!! i could do more but tend to take it easy on them when I can !!!
Worst ever was a practice day on an airfield using admittedly second hand rubber and I went through 12 part worns, and two pairs of decent roadrubber !!!

LOL
My rears obviously get ripped to shreds in just a few yards.
But my fronts last reasonably well. About 3 days use (say 50 runs) before the edges are barbequed.
Some of the guys with bigger power and more extreme setups are devouring a set of soft compound Advan cut slicks in three or four runs !!! I get about 10 runs on my rears for example. They are using 265/35/18's and Imon 215/40's !!!
James from Yokohama brings all our tyres on an artic and they get changed for us as well - how cool is that !!!
