I'm not actually sure what speed I was doing because I was concentrating but I had the GTR at 7800 in 5th........I know that is was very fast because the windows were bowing and it was quite unpleasant :o :o ......the noise and the way the car behaved was very scary

I ve had 7000 rpm is 5th gear many times. according to my gear ratios it is at the gearbox's ceiling on 180 MPH.

Piece of interesting info for you... at 170 mph the drag is so great that the car is only delivering about 114 BHP... this is from 350 hp at peak.

Between 100 MPH and 150 MPH the aero drag on my car saps 100 extra HP from the power delivery.

Of course not on any public roads... ;)

But just 140mph for me, was still pulling very strongly though 8) No longer limited to 155mph either now as this was removed when the Autronics ECU went in :D With the gearing limiting things I reckon 170mph is achievable. Not sure I dare test that out though! :o

In the supra 170mph very easily with me and 3 friends and still pulling hard  yet to really push her to her limits it's got so much more in it and that was stock j spec ceramics when it was at 1.3 bar when i first got the car, soon it should feel a little quicker :D
done 161 mph in the civic type r pulled well until about 150 ish then slows and takes a while to get to top speed and doesn't feel as comfortable with doing those speeds as the supra, feels a little light but did well, supra love those speeds and just begs for more  8)

You would be shocked at the difflection on the speedo. at 150mph on he clock you will be about 20 mph off.

I've seen 170 odd on the speedo a few times, but achieved A true 154 MPH (165 MPH indicated) measured over 1.5 miles at Terminal Velocity RAF Woodbridge, only just managed to get it into top gear just before the braking marker and was still pulling hard.....Other than that I've been in an R33 GTR at an indicated 179 at Brunters.

i'm under no illusion that that 170 on the clock is not the real time gps speed, will be more like 157-159ish but fact is out of the box the car will do 176 gps verfied mph sooff it's 190 clock, many people have proven this also  8) drag cd is 0.31 on a supra and they are very slippy also have a great final drive and good gear ratio for naughty top speeds with stock rev limiter power permited you can see 200mph ish realtime gps verfied speed, with the raised limiter in theory with my new ecu i was told 225 gps mph is possible, but apparently at 200mph it startsto get very hard to do that you need mega power to get there and nuts like steel and maybe a nice bit of tarmac to do it on, i'll be doing totb next year but at a now shortend runway of 1 mile my top speed won't be achieved as it should be still accelerating, aim at totb will be around 180mph ish
