if you have got a fight on your hands its going to be an easy one, so try not to get to worked up matey
if he is messing you about, paypal will just take his money
what i think may have happened is that he had no moeny is his paypal account to give you so it will need to come out of his bank account - which is linked to his paypal, sometimes this is instant but a lot of the time paypal will send it as an echeque which means it will take a while to clear..ask him if it has been sent as an echeque - if he doesnt understand tell him to look at the refund transaction and read the details as it will say in the details
i hope this helps

This unfortunately is not uncommon, i myself have gone through the same proces more than once.
There are several things i hate about eBay and two of those things are too many unscrupulous skanky feckers trying to con honest buyers, and too long a drawn out over complicated process just to get a bloody refund.
You're in the right and you will get your money back, just takes time now. It wouldn;t surprise me if the seller hasn't made a refund but you just never know your luck.
I hope eBay now sorts it quickly for you.

I trade on eBay too and i'm glad to say that i have had very few problems with buyers who on the whole have been easy enough to keep happy.
I think it all went wrong when traders were stopped from leaving negative feedback. Buyers can now say what they like even if they are being skanky beggars. The seller now has no way to criticise bad buyers by way of negative feedback.
It is no longer a level playing field and is becoming a more expensive proposition for traders when every few months they keep changing their terms of business and putting fees up.
