In isolation, the story is pretty good with some memorable scenes, good humour and the obvious stunning visuals. I watch( and have watched) an enormous amount of films over the years, I used to earn money from reviewing the bloody things. In isolation it's great. When compared to the many, many Science Fiction adventure films that I've seen, it's a less convincing proposition but the film has just grossed $1 billion in the first three weekends making it the fourth biggest film of all time already. It will almost certainly be the biggest grossing film of all time when the next set of takings are declared later in the quarter.
