I don't really eat a steady breakfast but with me working away i'm really strict on what i eat and when i eat it but when i'm on time off i eat what and when i like. It seems to work ok.

As for the exercise the odd round of golf and trackday don't really cut it i'm afraid lol....

Sad to say there is no easy way to loose weight if you cant exercise then you need to eat less but giving up bacon butties is a hell of a sacrafice, the other option is larger race overalls bigger car seats and a faster car

Cut down, dont cut out but bacon buttys arnt good. Porrige is good for breakfast but made with water not milk and dont load it up with sugar a drop of honey or a scoop of protein powder is good. Eat 5 meals a day to speed up your metabolism but small meals regularly, once you get used to it you'll never feel hungry and a glass of pure grapefruit juice after each meal helps break down the fat but it must be pure and not from concentrate also drink lots of water (you wont drown)!!. Also dont buy or go "low fat" cos you need to take in fat to burn fat and if you dont take in fat your body will store all the fat you do take in. If you want any ideas on what to eat let me know and i can put something together.

Can definitely recommend upping the exercise as you get into your 30s and the metabolism starts slowing down. Thing is, you've got to find the activities you enjoy, nothing else is sustainable. With family, find something that involves the kids, that way you'll find the time. Once you get used to the exercise, life's incomplete without it. Once you're exercising, your body tells you to cut out the junk and eat healthier.

Late 30's and busy job, I had various aches that I put down to age, plus excess weight. Got back into running and mtb and those aches are history. Currently obsessed with triathlon, competing at Bedford this weekend. Racing (local fun-run, marathon, mtb, tri, whatever) is the biggest buzz for me now, at least as much as I used to get from motorbike racing!

I'm no role model, take Wednesday for instance...

07:00 Bacon sarny and cup of tea
10:00 Cheese on toast, bacon and 2 hash browns
14:00 Turkey Sarny, crisps, choccy bar and bottle of Fanta
17:00 Sausage, fried egg, chips and beans with a Pint
18:00 4 more pints through till about 22:00 with another sarny at 21:00

My target age was always 30 so I'm doping well by getting past it :hurray:

In all seriousness though, I walk a hell of a lot at work, plenty of stairs to climb as well.
