I can join you with RAC for a fraction of the cost you mentioned and will recover you anywhere in the UK, trouble is you'll have to wait 24 hours before you can use the recovery part. Bit cheeky though isn't it?
Maybe you should have though of getting something like this before?

Thanks for all the suggestions, and that last comment... don't get me started mate, we thought we did have the full cover! Anyway...quick update...

We're back in Sheffield, Jo managed to sort a rental car through her work, a lovely drive home in a 1.2 litre corsa... not quite the performance I'm used to! :lol:

Car is in a storage compound in Fife and is being collected on Wednesday, managed to get a quote for
96 Sti Version 3, 05 Z4 3.0

Sorry Michael didn't mean to have a go mate :) I read it as you didn't have any cover? You'd be shocked at the amount of people who never bother with any cover what so ever and travel up and down the country. Hope its all sorted now, shame I didn't see this last night to be honest.

No problem mate, just a sensitive subject at the mo! ;)

Had cover, thought it was enough to get us home, so much so that when I saw the scooby clinic lot going past just gave them a nice smile and a wave, founf out after about the 10 mile radius and

Seems I spoke too soon... supposed to be on its way to Chesterfield today, but the tow man has let me down.

I'm off to Scotland a week Sunday, 1st June, if you need a lift but suppose you'll need it fixed and back by then for Silverstone?
