You can add an extra driver for 150 euros with the Alfa. Still great value though. (may yet go that route too dependant on numbers) or can hire for 2 hrs for 200 eurosstuart wrote:Presumably you could split that price if you wanted to share the drive?
Mmmmmmmmmmmmm. Interesting. The Alfa would be my choice largely down to no limit on miles and my percieved notion that it will be better prepared for the 'experience'.
Thanks. Very helpful
More details here around prices. Seems he has a new website (please feel free to remove link if its not allowed)

When there at easter last year, 2 of us completed 25 laps in total in a day in the Alfa's, so appreciate what you're saying Dunc.dynamix wrote:10 laps in a day is pretty easy to do Matt if it is a full weekend day. I did 12 on an afternoon 1-6pm session.
Myt present line of thought is that if I end up going on my tod, then 10 laps on my own + a wander round the car park will probably be sufficient.
I dont want to leave anything to chance and then not be able to go due to being let down by mates when the time gets closer, thats why I've gone for BM at the moment. If I get the full contingent of people who say they want to go, then I reckon the 4 of us will hire 2 alfa's between us.

Is Jay taking the Golf Andy? I know that may be obvious but I would love a closer look around the car and I can't think of a better setting
One other option for me, unlikely I'll admit, is to spend a few quid on the Golf and take that as Matt has suggested, for the usual road trip. It handled quite a few laps at Snett with aplomb but I'm not kidding myself that a circuit like Snett is any comparison to the NS. Also, I've 2k+ laps at Snett over the years compared to 20+ at NS, so I could carry the car and any deficiencies....no chance of that in the Fatherland.
At least parts are easy enough to get I suppose.
I'll check my diary Matt, discuss this with the Mrs tonight and let you know mate. It would be great to see you Guys out there again and lay some of my demons from the last trip to rest :thumb:

Remember the first trip, ours was stood for 2 years SORN'd (MOT - 1 fault, wiper blades!!!) and then drove there, did 10 laps, drove back and didn't miss a heart beat!stuart wrote:One other option for me, unlikely I'll admit, is to spend a few quid on the Golf and take that as Matt has suggested, for the usual road trip. It has gone back there now and is living in Quiddelbach, down the road from the entrance. Still going strong and is a great car to enjoy the ring!
