What fuel will you be running in TA?

Do the TA regs give you a free reign on fuel Dunc?

Any race fuel allowed but it says no 'exotics' which are like methanol etc which a lot of people (unconfirmed reports :roll: ) use any way.

I will be using v-power with about 1ml per litre of NF booster.

Personally I don't see the difference in someone using 109 octane race fuel and someone using a meth mix? apart from the obvious savings using methanol!

Lol, no doubt some will be using meth if the organisers are creating regs they can't enforce!

Those race fuels will have meth/tolly/other 'exotics' in there anyway.

You're right, the main difference is cost, and the care you have to exercise in making your own mix of dodgy chemicals. You don't want to be sniffing their exhaust fumes particularly, but you could say pretty much the same of any of the cars there.

You can sniff my exhaust, nothing but pure air...probably, all the tuners garages chokes you up when you try breathing in there.

I'm not sure if the methanol rule isn't to mean running pure methanol...
not running say a 10% mix as an octane booster.

I am not to sure what I will run, I will have 2 maps though Vpower & a race fuel map.

I think you will find that Pure Methanol is not allowed due to its nature and characteristics and safety from the marshals point of view.

I seem to remember not being able to see the flame when its burning

If you fancy BBQing yourself any nobody knowing then you could flout that rule but I wont be looking for you with a fire extinguisher thats for sure!

The beauty of Time Attack is everyone playing the same game and singing the same song, cheating or flouting the rules is pretty pointless; as far as I would be concerned its a pretty hollow victory but horses for courses.

Marc our scrutineer will fill in the techy part for you if you like.

The rules are there for competitor safety without getting too anal and ruining everyones fun.

You have to interpret the rules Dill, if it says you can not do something then you cant do something but if it doesnt say it doesnt say in which case that will not be scrutineered.
