nope i know its not the RA version, i only used the pic of the RA as a guide to what a version 2 front looked like and what the v3 looked like, i would say this car has had a facelift somewhere along the lines, possibly due to a bump, or maybe the owner just wanted to make it look like the face lift model?

Master of understatement :D

Shame there's no engine bay shot as that would stop the guessing. FWIW my guess: STi3 MY97 or earlier with facelift bonnet fitted. ?Definitely not a version 4 as the interior is wrong, and bumper. Sh!t! I'm becoming a bloody Scooby anorak :o

only the STi version of the RA got DCCD the WRX version didnt :wink:

its the same car as mine by the looks of it 1996 sti version 3 the v3 had the facelift and later engine but still had the old dash and the verion 3 did come out in late 96 not 97 only
only know because i got one im not an anorak :?

Can't trust DVLA to get anything right on an import. Friend of mine has a MY 98 Type R on a P plate. He bought it as a 96 till I pointed out it wasn't. My car was registered as a 2.5L when there was no such thing. They only way to tell for sure is the VIN plate.
