I went to the Falkland Islands in 2003.
It was a great experience but proper shitty work in the Army, i remember being on sentry duty on a crappy exercise at 3am in the bleak moors there in horizontal rain!!
If you get a chance go on the day trip which they organise to look at Sea Lion Island as you get to see killer Whales up close and personal!! 8)
It is funny how the local boy racers out there dont have Nova's but they have big V8 Land Rovers!!
Also try to get yourself on one of the Battlefield Tours up to Goose Green, everything is left as it was left on the day the war finished 25 years ago, boots clothes and magazines etc all still left untouched on the ground, very surreal!
