As pavlo says the fix is quite simple usually, an aftermarket pressure switch can be installed with a wider band with for pressure.
As i understand this it alows for the presure variation a 5 year old diff has with out sending the warning lights up. If the pump pressure is very low ie recon time then it can be done for hundreds rather than thousands.
Pavlo i need a switch if you can sort one i am interested as mentioned Roger Rally on the MLR doeas them also.

Cheers Liam

Thanks for your comments guys, it is appreciated. I'm in the process of securing a second hand pump which will be sent to my dealers to get the car mobile again.

I've asked Mitsi not to disgard my pump as I will get it reconditioned and keep it as a spare for either myself or another unfortunate EVO owner.

I'm still waiting for a Heater Matrix to arrive from the land of the rising sun. I've opted to go for a brand new one, a) for the warranty should it go again, and b) I dont want to fit a second hand one and that fail a few months down the road. Its an expensive job to replace as the dash has to be removed to get to it! Well thats Mitsi excuse for the

If I knew the exact parts, or had the inclination to research it, I would be selling them. As it happens I do not, but if you give John at TSL Motorsport a ring they will be able to help you I'm sure.

Bazz that is top $$ for the service i believe the 45k belt at you local stealer is 720quid :o :o
Are you under warrante for any of this because you are paying through the nose :(
If they have not started the service get it to an alternative garage save a stack load.
Dont feel obliged to spend any more of your hard earned with them.

OK For those interested here are my findings on EVO AYC
The Std OEM Type switch can be bought but only provides a fix for siezed std switch. TSL supply
If your switch works but flicks the light on due to pressure variation you need a dial in switch.
If your pump is totaled you need a replacement or recon pump.

I bought such a switch and booked in with Gary at APT
Along with some sevice work today we changed the old switch for one that can be dialed in
It is not the worlds worst job but ramps and the Mitsi MUTT 2 service tool help!
My car is now fitted and i will keep you posted if i have any problems though i dont expect any.
On occasions the switch may need an adjustment Ie. for summer use when the oil can be thinner reducing pressure.

So if you want yours looking at i would Give APT a call and they can provide you with the solution.

Cheers to the guys at APT Liam
