2014 Impreza

Post by maff »

How did i miss this?

Subaru seem to be on the right track with the new model Impreza , much better looking than its predecessor:

Yes definitely a step in the right direction, I was never a big fan of the previous model

Sorry but this looks just like the current Mitsubishi EVO, not for me

"How much Subaru WRX STi do I bag for less than £30k?"

Image

Your £28,995 (just £2k more than a 197bhp BRZ coupe, don’t forget) buys an awful lot of performance. The new 2.5-litre boxer turbo develops 301bhp at 6000rpm, and 290lb ft at 4000rpm. And surely, you don’t need telling it’s all-wheel drive, and uses a six-speed manual rather than any new-fangled twin-clutch nonsense…

£28,995

£28,995

£28,995

What? Nearly 30k for something that looks like an Evo 10 and has pretty much the same Impreza range power/drivetrain etc

What is the point? £29k can buy a lot of serious car in the second hand market.

Yeah I thought that had been shown in Japan a while ago.
I think its great that Subaru are bringing the STI back as we seem to be stuck in a world of small engine turbo charged or diesel cars.
The era of the 90s performance cars have gone.

Hopefully this might reignite it.

I dunno Dan, 28k seems normal price for an STI model Impreza.....after all a Golf GTI is 25k plus. Most people who buy brand new cars buy them on finance or company schemes which arent available for secondhand cars. I absolutely agree with you though, if you have 28k in your pocket there are so many nicer cars that can be bought.

I quite like it, will have to see how the depreciation treats it :lurk5:
