In this months Japanese Performance there is an Evo buying guide for all versions. It's worth a purchase.

Christian has owned an Evo, an Impreza, a tuned 350z and a few GTRs so I think he's probably knowledgeable enough about the merits and failures of them all.

In terms of things that haven't been discussed, as per the original topic, my favourite car to date is the E36 M3 that I owned so it follows that an E46 M3 would be a great daily/weekend grin car. I seem to recall that you've had one of those as well mate, so maybe something a bit lairier??? There are a few supercharged ones around that may stir your pudding? :D

I guess once you've allowed for boredom, residuals kind of come into it. If the purchase price is cheap enough you may not give a shit, but if it's a few quid that you're sinking into things then it may pay to think before you leap.

If it were my hedge bouncing, fast but functionally focused missile I'd want turn-key reliability and fun above all else. And a heater ;)
