As some of you know i have been a windscreen fitter for the last 5 years with Autowindscreens. The last 12 months have been difficult, what with two takeovers and then the closure of several small depot,s including mine. I was transfered to a larger site ( I had no choice, move or no job!) which was ok but the increased travelling i was doing during the day and the longer shifts (12hrs!) started to affect my family life plus the fact my wages went down when we were promissed they would not change. I put my C.V into Autoglass 3 months ago and after a few phone calls and a interview plus having to prove my skills to a total stranger, I have a new job:)
A month ago i started at Autoglass and what a difference this company is. The tools are so much more advanced and i,m dealing with customers happy to see you. I now finish around 5pm every day and my wages have increased quite a bit. I have a brand new connect van to get around in although it is limited to 68mph!
AUTOGLASS REPAIR, AUTOGLASS REPLACE!
You may now call me "Gavin"

You are not the only one mate, some people have been waiting that long only for a fitter to turn up with the wrong glass!!maff wrote:Bloody good newsI tried to use Autowindscreens and a month later i'm still waiting for them to return my call, in the mean time AutoGlass have been out and done the job, and very good they were too!
