It does seem a bit strange how Christian Horner has more or less put the blame squarely on Webber, when it was a combination of both driver's not yielding anything to each other.

I bet if he could do the whole thing again, Mark would've given up on holding Seb to the inside and moved back over to the much cleaner racing line and either watch Seb sail straight on while trying to brake late on the dust or held-on round the outside to gain the advantage into the next corner. Still, Vettel shouldn't have assumed Mark would swing back on-line so soon after he was in front.

The after-race speculation that Mark was told to save fuel while Seb was told to keep pushing with Lewis behind (which the Red Bull boss more or less confirmed) does nothing to stop the belief that they'd prefer Vettel to be number 1.

At least the MacLaren boys livened-up the final few laps and showed how to execute clean passes on team mates. :D
Finishing off the Ford ;)

I had a chat with Alan last night about this and I said then that I put the blame for the incident on the team more so than the drivers.

1. Had Vettels car been reliable in the early rounds he would have points clear of Mark and would not have felt the need to try and pass him.
2. The team do treat him as their golde eyed boy, which in turn will always create an attitude of arrogance.
3. The team had told Mark to save fuel and Seb to push, causing the conflict
4. By telling Mark to slow and Seb to push, there's no way Mark would yield. The team should know that.

Vettel is trying to live up to the pressures put on him by the team but without the support to manage the stress.
Mark is fighting for the recogonition that he feels he has earned, but has not yet been given.

Wheather you agree with the politics within your team is another matter, Vettel was told to push and pass Mark, under that situation he would have expected that Mark would have been told to yield.
It comes down to poor man management, there are 2 drivers in the team and a team boss has to be either impartial to both drivers or clearly state No1 and No2.

Vettel's the same cocky European twonk that Schumi was / is.................

in equal cars Webber has the beating of him fair and square and i although a decent pilot i dont rate Webber that highly in F1 terms so that makes Vettel............

as for the stunt, then Vettel got part way along side and then stuffed his wheels into Webbers tub, whilst Webber never deviated from his line at all

I think that the Politics of the team and sponsors looking at their product image and target market got in the way here compounded by weak team management and poor communication

On the other hand we have not had such an opportunity to debate what went on in a GP sad that it was about a needless incident rather than dynamic racing, still Schui is on his way back up the grid
