Yup

In my opinion, one of the finest communities for keyboard jockies out there. The hardcore of the forum, the originators if you will, have a cultural almost spiritual faith in drifting in all of its forms from street through to top end motor sport. Because there are lots of people that sign up, talk shit and generally annoy most of the regulars.

It's a huge, living, thriving place. I read it almost daily but only contribute when I think I can help or contribute.

Huge 'sweeping generalisations' warning :)

I think, like many established forums, there is a degree of cynicism towards anyone that pops up but they are an enthusiastic and humorous bunch in the main. I would agree that the quality of the projects/builds tops anything I've seen on my admittedly Jap-centric browsing. In recent years, the forum is more diverse than ever with pretty much anything rear wheel drive being developed for drifting.

The engineering and tuning knowledge goes from one extreme to the other. First hand, hard fought know how through to third hand regurgitated bullshit, so tread carefully with advice.

As long as you 'add' to the forum with your posts, much as I hope anyone would here, I think you'll get on fine. Much of the collective zero tolerance attitude to 'newbs' is that a lot of commonly asked questions have been asked time and time again on there and yet no-one searches for the answers first. Instead the 'newb' posts the same old shit and the old guard launch a scathing attack, damning the infidel for their stupidity.

A great busy forum with loads of drifters and mechanics regularly posting.
