Now lets say I was to go giving this bmw a good looking over:rolleyes:, What are the main things to look for? I know rear brake pipes are a weak point, anything else?

It's 300 quid Russ, I wouldn't worry too much mate :)

Make sure the body ain't rotten (watch for wings, tailgate by the lock and the front of the roof.

Make sure it has an engine fitted

Hope that helps

Buy it.

check the rear subframe has not been ripped from the floor ,rot where the floor turns at 90 degrees upwards in front of the fuel tank, rot at the bottom of the front inner wings near where your feet would be (sill side rather than tunnel side), around the battery in the boot then just basic bushes and stuff which are more a labour cost than anything else . water pumps can be a problem as some where fitted with plastic impellers, plastic thermostat housings can crack, rads can leak near the coolant bottle as it is a one piece item (yours is buggered anyway) judging by the fact it is a 323, has a baby on board sticker in the rear window and no real chav mods from what i can see i would say its worth a look.:)
