we did an engine build on one a 20v few years ago and mechanical wise they are pretty good, as above have also done turbo and belt changes and there's no room to work on them - think we got the belt time to less than 8hrs

Oiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

I am trying to sell these for a living LOL

Not that that seems to be a hard thing to do at the moment.
The Fiat 20v has a lovely sound to it and handle well from the off Stu.
Tuning may be a bit costly due to lack of demand but i bet they will respond well to the basics.

Cool looking too.

I dont think jamie uses this place that much these days.

But spoke to him about a week ago, the car is running like a dream and infact recently had mapping done and achieved 349bhp and 320lbs of torque from a totally standard engine, with

FMIC
Air filter etc
Exhaust
GT28r (running 25psi of boost...evidentally it could have been pushed slightly further)
AquaMist
Standard injectors with a 4bar regulator
Fuel Pump

im sure the above is right..

i went out in it (bearing in mind we are running the same/very similar turbo) and his car just did not stop pulling it felt VERY fast..and of course the noise it made was awesome

Hi I dont come on her to often, but i do know alot about fiat coupe, both maintaining them, and tuning them.
First off the electrics are fine as long as they havent been messed about with, ive had mine now 6-7years and no probs as yet, generally they are a great car but if you dont treat them well, then you are asking for trouble. There are plenty of tuning products out there most have been developed by people on the forum http://www.fccuk.org/forum . you can even go as far as using the 2.5 stilo kit with a gt30 turbo which some do and properly mapped can make 5-600bbhp with the right mods. The forum which i put above is fantastic you can find every thing you want from fitting guide for about every thing to tuning and styling. Mine is now running 340bhp and 320lbs torque and i could of pushed it abit more on the rollers which i think it would have been 350bhp and 335lbs this was possible by a forum member from bristol who has learned how to crack the bosch ecu and read the coding (very clever bloke)and can now live map the standard ecu on the road, also can add bigger injectors water injection etc with have motec or similar cost for the live mapping by him is

Thanks Jamie

Not sure that a road test is either a good idea or necessary mate, but thank you anyway. It was more to ask someone that knows;

a) Are they tunable
b) How do they handle
c) Are they tough

They seem to be fantastic value for money......I wanted some quality, no bullshit Bigpower spec feedback.

That's what I have got

i love these cars but 1.5k for a turbo with good brakes. just can't believe there not full of issues sadly. never seen one at a trackday or on the strip. still want one though just can't bring my self to believe they are good in the long run.

Seen a few on track days and sprinting and they're pretty good. First time I put the Scoob on a group rolling road session was with the Fiat Coupe club and they were getting 300 bhp about 4 years ago but they have less spare space under the bonnet than Imprezas.
