i am really thinking about selling/swaping my car for something different.
there are a few cars that i have in mind, all with pros and cons
evo
+like the scoob - may be to much like a scoob
r32 gtr
+ looks very cool, and can get a good spec for good money -expensive to run
rx7
+looks soooo nice, again good spec for money - no where for baby seat to go
so people what do you think?
the time has come.......

I have written a long and lengthy post on your thread about RX7s which should hopefully help.
Tough decision though, they are all superb cars !!!!
Think it depends on what you want them for.
The EVO is pretty much similar to what you have got, a 4 door performance saloon.
The R32 GTR is likened to being a Japanese muscle car with plenty of space and can get good horsepower with minor tweaks.
The RX7 is a true sports car, it has no interior room but is exactly how you expect a RWD sports car to feel.
I dont know what I would choose to be honest, any of those 3 are great !!!

there is nothing that r realy dont like about my scoob, but sometimes just fancy a change.
i know i have got some mods on my scoob that would be very hard to come by again, like the full titanium exhaust, and works alloys.
if i went for the r32, what sort of power would i need to be looking at to make it feel, and be faster than my scoob running just over 380 bhp
i dont think i will be doing any track work with the car, and will do the odd 1/4 mile just for fun.
5 days out of the week, it will be sat in the garage, and most of the time i do use it, it is just going to tesco, taking the mrs to the shops etc.
but i do like to have the power there to have some fun from time to time, and i really like the feeling of when it comes on boost, when it pushes you back into the seat.

The GTR gearing is the biggest difference to allow for in terms of straight line performance. With around 400bhp I achieved similar quarter mile times and terminal speeds, a little slower but then I launched the 32 like a girl :lol:DaOne wrote: if i went for the r32, what sort of power would i need to be looking at to make it feel, and be faster than my scoob running just over 380 bhp
Having owned a 32, wanting something different to the classic Impreza that we have both owned (therefore ruling out the Evo by way of similarity) I would go for something like an RX7 FD3s or go leftfield and buy an M5.

The 32 won't feel as quick as a 380 BHP Scooby unless you u go single .. the twin set up removes the kick in the arse ..
I went scoob to GTR ... it's only the speedo that shows your'e going quicker in the R - oh and the cars behind disappearing into the distance.
Personally - I would not buy another GTR .. too expensive to run, maintain and own !! .
RX7 is the way to go !!.
Or
my next choice .. an Evo 6

Have u been in a GTR yet? .... It's launch from 0 is outstanding !! .. everything else is no better than other cars - 50 - 70 nothing to write home about .. but if you want hardcore grip and grunt from 0 .. then yeh the GTR has it .. I have a nismo super cooper mix and you can litterally rev to 5 and step off it ... no wheel spin .. just gone with a necking snapping roar.
