Interesting results.

Also as its the short circuit pure horsepower alone wont have anywhere near as much of an impact especially coupled with the fact its only got one really slow corner, so outright acceleration will have less of an effect. Both things that I suspect were RCM strongpoints.

Im glad Bob did well in closing the gap especially as he has never driven brands before. I expect he will be a well happy bunny tomorrow.

I started out quite well, being 2nd fastest in group B, 55.620s (10th overall club), with tire pressures waaaaaaaay too high so it was slidey slidey! Then my front turbo shat itself and it was game over :( its a real shame as it was the cars first outing this year in time attack and was showing good promise, i am confident that it woul dhave made the final fairly easily and goe on to score soem good points, but hey.....maybe next time.

Just need a pair of new turbos now :(

Can they not be reconditioned Neil?

Well sadly i missed out on teh final by 1 position and 0,1 second
But considering t3eh amount of issues i was having all day and the fact that my engine spat out 1.5 litres of oil all over my rear tire twice :o , i think i did ok!! :)

So gutted for you Neil after all the hard work that you have done to get the engine built :(

Mike that is so unlucky 0.1 sec :o . Any idea as what caused the oil to be spat out, that could have been very nasty if it's dropping oil onto your tyres :o

Yeah the breather system, due to the Flat four design engine... All the oil just flowed straight out of the offside head. I would think it happened going round clearways, hense it all feeling a little loose going into Paddock bend :o

But on the 3rd attempt to resolve on the day, we found a solutiuon that worked and not a drop was lost! :-D :-D :-D

Well done Mike, It's weirdly satisfying when you have a problem but are able to solve on the day in between sessions.

thats very true....

Couldn't resolve the fact that when the car is hot it won't start!!!!
Leave it 15 to 20 mins and then it starts on the button :?: :?:

Thankfully for me, the TA organisers were sympathetic to my issue. As in the qualifyer i came in after 2 laps due to a red flag. We switched off the engine and it wouldn't start. Sat there for the remaining 15 minutes turning it over but nothing.....
I got the agreement to go out in B group and even then it wouldn't start... it was round 5 mins into the session before it just fired up...

I did notice in the results that you had gone out in group A and then in group B and was wondering what had happened, now you've answered that question. We have a simiular problem with ours when it comes to starting

We are currently looking at options with regards to our engine to allow us to run at snetterton. Luckily we do have options :) So hopefully see you there

Mike, have you spoken with Steve Simpson?

He sorted my 'impossible' idle and poor cold start problems in under 2 minutes.

well I had a mare................

lost a wheel exiting druids in the warm up

fooked the front wing/caliper/bottom arm

reason was the wheels had just been refurbed and the hib face was powder coated...........quite thickly it transpires.

Being a knob i did not even think about this............so as they got hot it melted nuts came loose and its me singing three wheels on my wagon heading towards Graham Hill bend on the grass................

Checked other 3 wheels and all were loose (nuts)...............I checked they were tight before leaving the pits as I always do.....

Borrowed Adrians (Fensport) trailer and was towed home where car is sat looking sorry for itself.......
