Lucky b'sted mate !!!
There is one in Horsford I see regularly that looks nice.

Tbh they havent got the best writeup in comparison to the old ones and the 4 door version (which seems to be faster and better). I think in terms of performance over the old one there wasnt an increase....in fact very little.

But for a hot hatch it should be great and they are pretty rare, not as common as the previous version (sorry James Breadvan).

New Type R

Post by Mike Broadbent »

I've had one for a few months, goes like hell but you have to keep the revs
up as V-Tec comes in at about 5400 and below this its fairly docile. On the plus side you get another 3000rpm to play with and it howls llike a banshee. Having driven the old Type R as well its largely a matter of personal preference. The older model is a bit more raw and the power delivery of the new one is more refined. Much has been said about the rear suspension but the new model does not lift a rear wheel when chucked round a fast corner and feels more planted.
Enjoy your day, but leave VSA on if you haven't a change of underwear!
