engine number

Post by mirage »

when my new nur engine goes in do i need to re register my car with the new engine code or can i just leave it as it is as its still and RB26dett.

if i change it then when i insure it i will have to state on insurance its had an engine change even tho its the same engine (sort of) and it probably cost me a load more.

Yes John, you have to send your reg doc away with the new engine number on it.
Also if you do not tell your insurance company of the mods to save a few quid on your premium, you are likely to lose out or at worst have a claim cancelled if anything happened (God forbid)
Your new engine and bits are worth quite a few grand so i would say that you would be mad not to declare the mods.
