Plating is a plate which tells you the maximum weight allowed on the trailer and the weight of the trailer itself.

Its usually fitted to the chassis somewhere on the a frame . It will be the same as most other twin axle trailers i would think , not a big job to knock one up, but you might have fun if you get stopped in a roadside check and dont have one

There are loads of laws regarding towing most people dont have a clue about them ignorance is bliss though , i once collected a 3.0l Capri on a twin axle trailer and towed it home with a 1.6 Sierra;):)

I've got keys for 2 weighbridges, ones at Costessey Norwich and the other at Shipdham near Dereham. Hope this is of some help

Is the one at Costessey the one down by longwater near the concrete co and cemex etc as i go there quite a lot to load the tippers up i work on to weigh them down when i take them for an MOT test?

Will have to say hello when i next go down there!
What do you do down there then mate?

Thats the one, Waste Recycling Group. I'm usually in the building playing about in loading shovels. But if i'm good they let me outside on the weighbridge. If you want to just check your weight, then when you come up just ask for me :wink: if you require a weight ticket if will cost around
