Thanks again for all the sympathetic comments, I really appreciate them. Stu phoned earlier and we had a long chat. I'll let him post the outcome of his call to Snett this morning.

As for the car, I'm booked for a track day at Silverstone on Monday with the MLR and no way I can show up in it looking as it does. As some of you know, I have another white Scooby wagon, that my son's been using and although I've tried selling it a couple of times, it's unlikely to be bought as it has a Cat F hanging over it, although you wouldn't know it. Son is now in the throes of starting a business and has bought an estate car. This means I can have the wagon back, without feeling guilty about it.

It should be back some time today which means I have a plentiful supply of white un-dented panels, lights and bumper to get working on. I've not looked under the car but it drove home OK. The latest damage seems like the first round, superficial dents & scratches. I'm upset about the ali bonnet, which took a knock from one of the posts as it cost a stupid amount of money by the time it was painted.

The rest of the wagon will be broken and most bits offered for sale, which sticks in my throat a bit as it's such a nice car. Ah well.

That will be your cheapest way out Gerry. Breaking a scooby can also be quite lucrative, in fact I need a few bits for Spencers Sti5RA so I will be in touch (though need headlights as well lol).

Matt, it was originally used for skid pan training years ago.

George, do you mean Norfolk arena?
Thanks Nik, good to know. Stu (Bealos) evening didn't go quite to plan either as his car expired after a few laps. At least he wasn't stranded!

Norfolk arena would be fantastic but not sure if it would be cost effective? Terry from Eurodrift hires it so he might know. Its big enough to let a couple of cars out at a time so if we had sufficient numbers? Might be getting ahead of myself here

That was my original intention but it's a stupid amount of work and I don't have the facilities. I know the chassis on my current car is good and the second wagon has never been pushed to find out. Doors wing and lights should have my car somewhere near presentable. Just hope the shade of white is the same. I will have the option though, once it's completely stripped to a bare shell, of seam welding it and starting from scratch for a purpose built stripped out car.

Sorry, sitting here feeling sorry for myself I didn't ask, what happened with Bealo's car?

While I'm at it, thank you to all those who helped get me (sort of) roadworthy again. JJ, Bart & Pablo, Dunk & Stu. Apologies if I missed anyone.

Makes my panel damage sound insignificant. Hope it's not too serious.
