Nice find! There are plenty of things you can do to the LS1. I was looking at a Pontiac Trans-Am when I was at Uni (fool I know as I would have NEVER been able to insure it) and looked at what could be done to get more power....so much out there in the American market.
I still never researched the difference between the LS1 in the Trans-Am and the 'vette...
Hmm V8 vs straight 6....personally I'd ake a straight 6 BUT if it was a V10 or V12...different story (I just love the noise V10s and V12s make).

What about the 6.0L LS2 engine as fitted to the Monaro VXR?
There is something about the noice of a V8!
Hi Nick, how are you? Long time no hear - the Clio is not quick enough!!!!! Thinking about making it a Clio TT, by using a turbo Audi unit

The LS1 is a cracking engine Nik, no doubt, but I would be more impressed if I had seen this on the track or quarter mile rather than a few blips of the throttle. Not knocking it, just better to see it strutting its stuff in real terms. (I'm sure you get my point) The instant pick up is rather special, I'll give you that :thumb:

nearly done the same conversion my self even found every thing i need. found a cheap 2.0 non turbo r33. and had donated a 500 cubic inch supercharged v8 caddy engine wich was running 8.5 seconds quarter mile down at pod last year in a old school ford pop. but did not have the time or space. never mind one day
Al, I know of the Granada you mention, I was lucky enough to see that run at last years event. It was quite an animal. I know you can get a new LS1 with the ecu, look and 6 speed Tremec/Viper gearbox for
