what a Day / Night / Morning !!! :(

Post by martin »

It all started last night at around 5 pm i was happily driving to the big power meet and i turned of into snetterton selected second gear for the round about and came of it at a slow pace went for 3rd gear and hmmm it made a very loud rumble so i carried on going to the meet as it was only round the corner. Stayed there till around 8:30 - 9pm was a good night watching the quarter mile runs but i was not looking forward to driving my car home. In the end i decided to just drive it home having to go from 2nd to 4th as i had no 3rd gear what so ever :( as i got nearer Norwich the noise was getting far worse but i was nearly home and it got me home :D . I sat at home for a while and with JAE coming up and not being able to get there playing on my mind i decided to get my glad rags on so of i set in the scooby to the yard got there at around 12:00 got it on the ramp and set about removing the box which was out by around 2am with the box now of i set about stripping it down to find the problem and have found the problem 3rd gear is totally stripped on both cogs and they are practically smooth :( . The box is now in the back of another car in bits and i shall be up at around 8:30 am and do my best to get the replacement parts i need to repair it fingers crossed i can source them tomorrow or have them for Friday as i would like to go to JAE in it :D . So its fingers crossed i can get the bits for it in time if not Jacko has kindly offered me a place in his car cheers :D . Ill keep you all up to date but its now time for me to go have a bath and relax and try to get some sleep :D . Nothing like a productive evening

Amazing dedication mate.
I really hope you get it sorted for JAE. If it weren't for the fact i have a 6 day old son to help look after i would offer to help you honestly.
All the best.
