Post by rallyrat »

Well due a new arrival (yes the wife is pregnant) on the way we decided to sell the Evo and buy a sensible family (slow) car..

So off it went to its new home last Friday in Scotland.. :'(

Gutted to see her go, but needs must.

Will hopefully get another evo in 2-3 yrs time.

Gutted for you Mike....................fancy buying a Passat!! ;)

Only kidding fella, we all have to make compromises sometimes and as they say, it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.

Gutted to hear about the sale Mike but congrats on the baby news and hope the missus is ok.

I went the other way - traded in my VW Sharan diesel MPV for the EVO - no rubbing your nose in it intended there.... :^o

see you tomorrow night.

Ian,

Wanted something with a little less power, crazy i know but i have very little self control and the amount of G-Force the evo's dish out I didn't want to harm Joanne in the ealrly stages of pregnancy or when the baby arrives as its ttaken nearly 14 years to get this far....!

So the best way is to retire early from evo ownership.. however i will get another evo in 2-3 years

did look at yours on MLR, it was just the wrong time form me for a EVO at the moment.

in all honesty its better the car going upto scotland so you dont see it again, i hope my car goes far away when i sell it. couldnt bare see someone else driving it.

I am glad that it went to scotland, took the guy for a short blast, that was enough to sell it. He had been in an evo before but you should have seen the look on his face... he didnt say a word but the smile said it all.
