I think if I'm honest, I know that my car is pretty good but I've wasted money on daft bits that haven't helped me get 'ready'. I did the Ring last year knowing the car wasn't right and it was very nearly a huge waste of money. There you are, maybe next year.
I hope your right on the standard of driver....

i understand enitirely where your coming from and it's not worth risking everything. our cars are to be enjoyed both on and off track.... these sorts of events can push you s step to far and then you've lost the pride and joy!

Trackday your not supposed to be at the limit, and always supposed to leave with your car as you arrived.

This is a race, if you enter you have to be prepared to push the limits, otherwise just go to a trackday for less money and more tracktime.

If your not on the limit at a track day, then your clearly not making the most of it.....
Build up each time, but you should always be at the limit by the end, else the limit doesn;t move for your next day....
We all need to develop and improve and pushing yourself is the only way! :thumb:

I agree, but stil say you should be further from the limit on a trackday, than a race. I'm not one for hanging about on a trackday ;)

Both are still a lot lot closer to the limit than the road.
