Thanks, I'll have a read

Actually want to use it so I can have a few pics rotate with some sort of fading between them, nothing major or fancy

Might ber easier to do some gifs then?

You can get some evaluation software to make some trial gifs, should be able to acomplish what you're after with it.

animated gifs are easier, but they will take longer to load and wont look as impressive as doing it with flash

setting up a slideshow with flash isnt that hard, infact im sure there are loads of prebuilt flash files which allow you to use your own images. as with most things, its a matter of finding them :)

Yep tried it with animated gif's and took a long time and didn't look as good in my eyes so it'll have to be a flash

I think what I want to do is have a 5 pic show, each one fading out and the new one fading in, running a loop, no user input etc. Just so I can display a few pics of new cars I've worked on, so I need to be able to do it so I can update as and when needed.

I think it would be really handy and eye catching when you have something like this appear (smaller size though)

Bloody hell mate, that car is like a mirror !!!!

You should speak to Dunk, he is good with animations. Every meet I have asked him what the software uses and I end up forgetting.

Gary - download this little baby :

Open the zip file and open the FLA file.

Replace the images in the file and you should be good to go :)

Why re-invent the wheel when some kind soul has already done it and showed you how :D - you have got to love developers having egos :)
