Yeah the results speak for themselves, they really are incredible.

Have a rubbish orbital buffer so might look for a cordless one and give that a go.

The main problem I have with a black car is when applying the wax/polish (meguiars gold or the Meguiars NXT) I think I have done an even coat of it but when wiping it off its plain to see the polish hasnt been applied evenly and I have to wipe it off with 2 towels and really polish it hard to remove the marks. Its seems to be when you put the polish on one of those Megs applicator pads and the polish is thicker in the centre, as you use the pad more and more it makes it worse and seems to soak the polish and leave it there until you use it on the car. You can really see the marks when its in the sun.

The Gold Class says to do the whole car in polish then wipe off but I find this worse than if I do a panel at a time.

When I spend a lot of time and give it the 1 panel with 3 treatments (meg stages 1,2,3) and get all the marks off it looks incredible. But there must be an easier way.

What might be great is if Shooter you could write out some do's and donts of washing cars and give us some tips of the trade (some things like choice of towels/cloths etc would be of benefit). Obviously dont give out all of your secrets but anything to help us would be great.

RX7.. please don't waste your money on a cordless buffer, unless you want it to only apply wax, even then the best is the Megs one but at

No worries Gary, some excellent tips both on here and also in the cleaning thread.

Look forward to reading the guide, everyone on the site will benefit from it.

Thanks for your advice re orbital buffer.
